We all know that certain professions, such as doctors and first responders, need 24/7 availability, but who knew the same could be said for realtors? Kellie Rutherford surpassed all our expectations as to what a realtor can do in a moment of crisis. After having been prequalified for a loan on a new build home 8 months prior, we were told 9 days before closing that our builder had suddenly decided not to honor the loan we had been pre-approved for, requiring us to scramble to find another type of loan, or pay all cash. We reached out to Kellie, our realtor, in the late afternoon that same day. Despite having been left out of the correspondence loop by our builder, she stepped in at the last minute, working well into that evening and most of the next day, reviewing in detail all pertinent documents, speaking with the builder’s realtor, her broker, and our lender. The builder did not have a leg to stand on, and Kellie recommended a real estate attorney she had worked with. However, due to her hard work and due diligence, at the last minute, the builder relented and signed off on the original loan, and we were able to close without a hitch. If you are buying or selling, you need a realtor who will be there for you 24/7, fighting for you. Kellie was there for us, and we cannot recommend her more highly.
